Rrolf Strumgarten,
A living example of why one should avoid bathing in a love spring. His father was a storm giant, his mother an elf. What seemed like a good idea at the time under the spring's influence ended in tragedy as she did not survive the birth of her son. Raised by another family, his childhood was little different than those of other children.
He faced bullying, and other unpleasantness due to his size, but that soon came to a halt when he faced his tormentors and beat them all soundly. He had inherited his father's strength, and as he grew into his gangly form, his mother's agility made itself known. He had found solace in nature's song, which he had always been able to feel, and with time came to understand quite deeply.
Using that affinity for nature and his native sturdiness, he trained to become a ranger. It was a solitary life but he accepted that and came to prefer that solitude to the often strained interaction with his own extended family. In time he left behind the woods he knew so intimately, striking off to find a home of his own.
